Summer Feeding Program

Children in Dallas and surrounding counties receive free or reduced-cost lunches during the school year.  However during the summer months many children do not have access to those subsidized meals.

Feed My Children Summer Feeding Program steps in the gap providing meals to those children. Feed My Children believes children should be having fun and enjoying their summer, not worrying about if they will eat or where they will get their next meal.

Food Pantry, Groceries & Resources

Feed My Children helps Families and Seniors with limited resources who are living in poverty, at risk to suffer from hunger, food insecurity and the inability to connect with other resources or support systems by providing nutritious groceries, meals and snack bags to help meet their specific needs and that can  easily be prepared at home.

Hunger Facts

Hunger and poverty are at an all time high and affects people from all walks of life.  It does not discriminate and affects children, seniors, adults and families of all races and ethnicities. However, certain populations are at higher risk for hunger.

Nationally, one in three low-income households is food insecure, as are single-mother households. Many Americans are one job loss or medical crisis away from food insecurity. A quarter of all Black and Hispanic households are food-insecure.

Households with children are almost twice as likely to be food-insecure as households without children. Children, seniors and homeless are at a greater risk of hunger than others.

Many Seniors face a number of  medical and mobility challenges that place them at a greater risk of hunger and are often forced to make a choice between buying food and medicine, and due to health reason others struggle with the inability prepare food for themselves.
